Appoints New South
West Scotland
Fieldsman
Farm Stock’s presence in Dumfriesshire,
Kirkcudbrightshire and Wigtownshire has been strengthened with the
appointment of Jim Kennedy as the Farm Stock Fieldsman for South West
Scotland.
Jim has a wealth of experience in the prime, store
and breeding stock market and will operate as the Farm Stock Fieldsman
for both Galloway Lamb and the western area of Buccleuch Farmers. It is
expected that his appointment will bring a substantial improvement in
the levels of service to farmers in that area.

New Operations Manager
David Marshall, (fomerly Glendevon
Livestock) has joined the Farm Stock ranks. David has been involved in
the livestock trade since the early nineties. He has a
wealth of experience in dealing with prime stock and negotiations with
abattoirs, but he also has in depth knowledge of the store and
breeding stock trade and it is intended that in his new role he will
introduce a new service in this area to Farm Stock members.
David took over the role from Jim Manderson on 1st June 2010.
Organic OTM Cattle
We are currently looking for Organic OTM
cattle. We have a date of Thursday 10th June.
Anyone with Organic OTM Cattle should contact the office, no later than
Monday 7th June.
Farm Stock AGM
Please note that the company's AGM will take place on
Tuesday 13th July 2010 at the Tinto Hotel, Symington, Biggar at 7pm
prompt. The meeting will be followed by supper, to which all
members are cordially invited.
New Group Strengthens Farm Stock (December 2009)
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that
Caledonian Organics, the largest organic livestock co-operative in
Scotland, has decided to become the sixth shareholder in Farm Stock
(Scotland) Ltd with effect from December 1st 2009. Like the other member
groups of Farm Stock, Caledonian Organics will retain its individual
identity and Limited Company status, and will have the right to appoint
two Directors to the Farm Stock Board.
