Vacancy: Non-Executive Director of Farm Stock (Scotland)Limited
This Summer a Farmer Director vacancy has arisen on the Farm Stock (Scotland) Limited Board, representing the Scott Country Lamb regional group (Scottish Borders).
The 8 non-executive farmer directors on the board are collectively responsible for overseeing the business which has grown to handle in the region of 120,000sheep and 9000 cattle annually. Numbers of livestock through the business grew by 4.5% last year, with farmer throughput increasing to more than £26 million, generating a strong financial surplus.
Annual time requirement for the role is typically 6 management meetings held bi-monthly in person during the evening, plus occasional adhoc meetings held online as required. Director appointments are usually for 3 years with the option of a further 3 years.
